Authoring
Photos are edited in Lightroom. I shoot mostly in RAW and process each image before it makes it onto the site. Curation is slow and deliberate — most frames don't make the cut.
Images
All images are stored on Cloudflare's global network. When you load a photo it comes directly from a server close to you — there's no middleman and no image resizing happening on the fly. Each photo is served at three sizes (thumbnail, grid, and full resolution) pre-generated at sync time.
Site
This site is entirely static. No database, no server, no tracking scripts. Every page is a plain HTML file generated ahead of time. That means fast loads, nothing to break, and nothing to maintain at runtime.
Type
Body text is set in the system sans-serif stack. Headings use Playfair Display, a transitional serif with a typographic warmth that suits photography.
Privacy
No analytics, no cookies, no trackers of any kind. I have no idea who visits, and I prefer it that way.
